You have chosen the right one! And that is joining iEARN and Eradication of Malaria Project. On behalf of iEARN USA, which maintains the organization's website, hello and welcome to iEARN family where you will find:-
| a safe and structured environment in which youth can communicate. | |
| a community of teachers and learners | |
| a known audience for writing and reading with a purpose. | |
| an opportunity to apply knowledge in service-learning projects | |
| an inclusive and culturally diverse community |
Within iEARN you will find many online projects and "Eradication of Malaria - A case of iEARN schools" is one of them. I thought of starting this project with my students at Borwa Secondary School in Botswana, Africa, after reading a lot of newspaper articles of deaths caused by malaria- especially in sub-Saharan Africa. I had also a chance to pre-discuss the idea with John Henly of World-links, Dr Gragert and Lisa Jobson. These people motivated me, and we officially kicked off the project in September, 2003.
